Delta Wants to Hire 1,000 New Flight Attendants
Delta Wants to Hire 1,000 New Flight Attendants For those who are travel-inclined and looking for work, Delta Air Lines is hiring more than 1,000 crewmembers for 2018. Delta flight attendant applicants must be at least 21 by Jan. 1, have more than one year of experience in customer service, patient care or caring for someone, and education beyond high school. Fluency in a language other than English is also a plus. Although more than 1,000 open positions seems like a lot, Delta says it has received more than 125,000 applications already, according to CNNMoney. Delta hired about 1,200 flight attendants from a pool of 150,000 applicants last year after reviewing 35,000 video interviews and 6,000 in-person interviews. âEarning and wearing the wings of Delta is something our flight attendants are proud of and passionate about, as they should be,â Allison Ausband, Delta Senior Vice President of inflight service, said in a statement. âAfter making it through the highly competitive and exhaustive selection process, they put all their previous experience and skills to the test during our flight attendant initial training.â
